How to change inverter constants
See the machine model number, inverter model and operating voltage listings for the inverter programming constants.
Due to inverter manufacturing changes MILNOR has gone through several styles of inverters. Each inverter is different in the procedure used to initialize the inverter.

Yaskawa inverter models F7, A1000 and V1000.
All three inverters use the "PARAMETER" mode NOT "SETUP".
Each model will have its own routine to enter into the programming mode, as detailed below;

Yaskawa F7
1.) After rewiring the new inverter, as per the required machine schematic, activate the inverter.
2.) At the -DRIVE- **Main Menu** press the MENU button 2 times to the -ADV-, **Main Menu** "Programming"
3.) -ADV-, **Main Menu** "Programming" Press "DATA / ENTER" button to enter into the Advanced Programming.
4.) The first constant address is A1-00 and the "A" is blinking.
5.) Pressing the RESET button will move the blinking (CURSOR) to the right one digit at a time.
6.) Select the programming address as shown on the approiate inverter constants data page.
7.) At address A1-03 is the Initialization process and should be preformed only ONE time when programming the inverter. Setting this parameter to 2220, will do several things to the inverter;
A.) Reset ALL parameters from B1-01 to T1-08 to the factory preset parameters for 2 wire operation.
B.) Resets itself A1-03 to 0000.
8.) Follow the parameter listing as shown on our list in the order in which they are listed. If you get to a constant that cannot be set to the recommended level, place a mark on your list, and return to those constants to reprogram them as required.
9.) After programming all constants as listed, return to A1-01, Access level, and set it to 0000, this will allow only viewing and setting of the A1-00 to A1-04 constants.

Yaskawa A1000
1.) After rewiring the new inverter, as per the required machine schematic, activate the inverter.
2.) After the Power up sequence, use the "UP" button to go to "-MODE- PRG PROGRAMMING"
NOT "-MODE- PRG Quick Setting"
3,) Press "ENTER" to enter the parameter menu tree.
4.) The first constant address is A1-00 and the "A" is blinking.
5.) Pressing the RESET button will move the blinking (CURSOR) to the right one digit at a time.
6.) Select the programming address as shown on the approiate inverter constants data page.
7.) At address A1-03 is the Initialization process and should be preformed only ONE time when programming the inverter. Setting this parameter to 2220, will do several things to the inverter;
A.) Reset ALL parameters from B1-01 to T3-04 to the factory preset parameters for 2 wire operation.

Yaskawa V1000
1.) After rewiring the new inverter, as per the required machine schematic, activate the inverter.
2.) After the Power up sequence, use the "UP" button to go to "PAR" NOT "SETUP Mode"
3,) Press "ENTERS" to enter the parameter menu tree.
4.) The first constant address is A1-01 and the "A" is blinking.
5.) Pressing the RESET button will move the blinking (CURSOR) to the right one digit at a time.
6.) Select the programming address as shown on the approiate inverter constants data page.
7.) At address A1-03 is the Initialization process and should be preformed only ONE time when programming the inverter. Setting this parameter to 2220, will do several things to the inverter;
A.) Reset ALL parameters from B1-01 to T1-11 to the factory preset parameters for 2 wire operation.

The Magnetek GPD305 and GPD315 are both programmed with the same technique.
1.) Press the "DSPL" button until the function LED on the Digital Operator shows PRGM.
2.) Press the ^ and v arrows till NO01 appears, Press ENTER
3.) Initialize the inverter by entering 10 at address NO01, for two wire operation. Enter 4 at NO01 Press ENTER, to program the necessary constants.
4.) Press DSPL
5.) ^ to next constant number, Press ENTER, set the value using the ^ and v arrows.
6.) Follow the program list as shown. After completing programming all constants return to NO01 and set it for 0 to lockout the inverter.
7.) Press DSPL, DSPL to return the inverter to the run mode.
8.) Test the machine in manual operation to check rotation.
9.) See machine model number listing for programming constants.

Obsolete inverters
GPD 505/506 inverter
To reset the constants to the original defaults, from MAGNETEK then you must;
1) Press the DSPL key until PRGM illuminates, or display reads "PARAMETERS"
2) When the PRGM light is on, or display reads "PARAMETERS", press the ENTER key
3) Use the ^ and v arrow keys to select setting
4) Set NO01 to 8, this is for initialization of 2 wire control, than to 3 to allow programming.
5) Press ENTER, this will set the constants, or "PASSWORD"
6) Once the password (NO01) constants have been reset, some constants need to be changed
7) Press ENTER to again change parameter NO01 to 3; this will allow programming of all constants.
8) Use the ^ and v arrow keys to select setting for all remaining constants.
9) Change the settings as they relate to your machine. See machine model number listing for programming constants. If you are not sure of the settings then consult the MILNOR service department.

For the GPD303 or 333 you must have a keypad when you try to default or program the MAGNETEK settings. On some machines the keypad was not included. To order this keypad for the GPD303 use 09MVKPD303 and the GPD333 use 09MVKPD333.
1) Press PRGM/DRIVE
2) Press DSPL
3) Press the ^ and v arrows till n000 appears
4) Press ENTER
5) Press the ^ and v arrows to get the proper constant, press the > (RESET) arrow to move the cursor to the right. Select >08' to initialize the inverter for 2 wire operation.
6) Press ENTER
7) Check the >n-00' constant again to see if the setting is >03', constant '00' will lockout the programming function, if not change so that it is >03.
8) Program the rest of the constants that need to be changed for your machine to function. See machine model number listing for programming constants. Get the latest constants from the MILNOR service department for your machine.

Allen Bradley inverters are used in shuttles. They are slightly different then the MAGNETEK inverters. With these inverters it is very important to turn them off and then back on if there are any changes made in the constants. If the inverter is not turned off and back on then the new constants will not recognize inputs and will run to the hard stop. The key functions will first be explained then how to reinitialize the inverter.
ESC This key stands for ESCAPE. When this key is pressed the inverter toggles back and forth from running to program. This key also disables the editing of a program parameter.
SEL This key stands for SELECT and it is only used in program mode. It allows you to edit the setting of a program parameter. When this is pushed the program mode indicator light flashes.
REVERSE key, when pressed, will allow the frequency to ramp down and then ramp up to the desired frequency in the opposite direction. There are LED lights on either side of this button that indicate the motor direction.
START key initiates the start command when the unit is programmed for local start stop control.
STOP key initiates the motor to >COAST
