SUBJECT: 36" & 42" Q MACHINES

We have just realized that some 36" and 42" Q machines may have left the factory with the wrong greasing instruction nameplate. On the left side of the machine, the nameplate indicates how many strokes of grease to inject into the seals and bearings. The proper nameplate for a 36" and 42" Q6 machine is p/n 01-10025Z. This shows to pump 1 stroke into the seal, 2 strokes into the rear bearing and 2 strokes into the front bearing every 30 days or 200 hours.

The wrong nameplate indicated to pump much more grease into the cavity.

We'll be happy to send nameplates to you for installation on the machines in your territory. Unfortunately, we cannot identify these machines other than to say that the improper nameplates were likely installed during the last 6 months and on up to 100 machines. If you find a wrong nameplate, please notify us immediately so that we can ship the proper nameplate to you for installation on the customer's machine.
