SUBJECT: Depend-O-Drain Drain Valves on 35 and 50 lb Machines


Dear MILNOR Dealer/Customer:


We have recently implemented the 3" Depend-O-Drain on 35 and 50 lb machines. The "MILNOR Pinch Tube Assembly" will no longer be used in new production on these machines, however repair parts are still available with exceptions as detailed below.

When receiving a new 35 and 50 lb machine, you will notice the Depend-O-Drain provides a 3" OD tube connection to the customer's sewer. MILNOR has designed a pip adaptor which would utilize 3" ID tubing to connect the Depend-O-Drain outlet to a 3" male NPT pipe fitting. This adaptor will be shipped with every machine of this type beginning in approximately 2 weeks. Other options have been made available by other vendors which service our dealer body, but we would prefer that the outlet of the machine never be reduced as it is connected to the sewer.

As you an imagine, there are thousands of machines in the field which utilize the MILNOR pinch tube assembly. Spare parts for these pinch tube assemblies are still available through the MILNOR Parts Department. However, when requesting a complete pinch tube assembly for a 35 or 50 lb machine, we will substitute a Depend-O-Drain retrofit kit. Parts numbers SA 33 041 and SA 33 041A will be replaced by KHCDV00137 or KHCDV00171, respectively, in these cases. The part number for the Depend-O-Drain only is 96D350A37 (120V) and 96D350A71 (240V).

As you may remember, earlier 75 and 125lb washer/extractors were manufactured with pinch tube assemblies. Brackets are not currently available to retrofit Depend-O-Drain Valves to these machines, therefore complete pinch tube assemblies will still be available.
