SUBJECT: 30015 TO 42026 FRONT BEARING HOUSING BOLTS

Dear MILNOR Dealer/Customer:

In the recent past, we have seen a few 30015 bearing housings come loose from the rear console (the front bearing attachment to the rear console).

In our investigation, we found that the bolts holding the front bearing housing to the rear console, simply vibrated loose.

As you probably know, we use nylon "NYLOK" nuts on these bolts. Based on a better understanding of "vibration loosening", we now realize that LOCTITE provides better protection from vibration loosening than does a nylon NYLOK nut.

We now recommend the use of LOCTITE 242 on these bearing housing attachment bolts and nuts.

Additionally, we now require installation using a torque wrench on these fasteners. Please see the attached chart for torque specs on the 30015 and other models up to 42026 rigid mount washer extractors. If you have any comments or questions, please contact MILNOR Tech Support at 504-467-9591.

Best regards,
