Dear MILNOR Dealer/Field Service Engineers:

It has come to our attention that the braking resistors can come loose in shipping causing the inverter to short out. We recommend that you inspect each machine to verify the security of these resistors as follows:

1. Remove the rear cosmetic cover of the machine.

2. Remove the cover for the resistor box, located below the rear control cabinet. There are ten (10) screws that hold this cover in place.

3. If okay, then replace the covers. If not, affix resistors to their support brackets by inserting the bracket into the end of the resistor.

4. Check the resistance value at the inverter terminals B-1 and B-2, with machine power turned off. This value is determined by the schematic wiring for the inverter drive and voltage rating of the machine being tested.

Several other issues have come up concerning inverters used in these machines.
1. When installing a new inverter (as a spare part), you must initialize it by entering constant N0 01
