SUBJECT: PRO-RATED WARRANTY ON 30022M BASKETS

A number of you have dealt with problems where a machine, after being in service for multiple years, has turned up with a "loose basket". We've written about this a few times with regard to instructions on pressing the basket onto the shaft.

Since we have begun pressing baskets onto the shaft in our production facility, using a hydraulic ram and pump, we have not seen anymore of these problems. However, we still deal with this problem on older machines on rare occasions.

In the event that you have a customer with a loose basket and require warranty assistance, the following policy applies to both the parts and the labor required to repair the machine in the event the basket comes loose from the main shaft.

Beware that this policy only applies to machines that have not had the bearing replaced where a field engineer would have installed the basket onto the shaft. This policy only applies where MILNOR employees put the basket onto the shaft last.

Warranty as follows:
Up to 5 years old 100% warranty.
5-6 years old 75% warranty
6-7 years old 50% warranty
7-8 years old 25% warranty
8 years & older 0% warranty
