SUBJECT: BALDOR SOFTSTART DEVICE

You may know that we apply BALDOR softstart devices to dryer basket motors and DRYVAC blower motors. We have seen a number of these softstart devices fail in the field.

BALDOR has made a design change which includes a higher rated diode. The new parts will be identified by a -608 suffix on the Baldor part number stamped on the softstart device.

The MILNOR part numbers involved are 09MY200A62, 09MY040A74, 09MY075A74, 09MY250A98 & 09MY150A74

If you have any of these softstart devices in-stock, please check these for the -608 suffix. If necessary, return the older softstart devices (without the -608 suffix) to MILNOR for replacement.
