SUBJECT: NEW 3022F & 42032F MACHINES

We had a recent complaint about a "bearing knocking" in a 30022F machine.

Upon investigation, the field engineer found that the bearing clearance was too big. As a matter of fact, he took out 16/1000's of shim material in order to set the bearing at 3/1000's clearance.

The question is "Do you hear reports of knocking bearings on these machines in the field?".

Please query your field engineers and feed back data when available.
