SUBJECT: PLASTIC WATER VALVES CHANGING TO BRASS

By approximately the beginning of March, we will implement into production the brass water valves on the 30" machines.

We have literally shipped multiple thousands of the plastic valves into the field since V, C, T and H series machines have begun production. So, many field replacements will take place in the future. This is our plan to deal with the replacements.

Both brass water valve assembly kits have been priced at a burden rate of approximately $200 (list price). The normal cost for the brass assembly would be in excess of $500 if not discounted. Customers should be offered the choice to replace plastic valves with brass if a plastic valve has failed out of warranty.

There are a few scenarios that seem apparent. The methods below are our recommended handling procedures for these scenarios.
