How do I wire Rotation Proximity Switches on a MILNOR CBW.
Since Milnor started building Continuous Batch Washers in 1978 the basic concept of the rotation proximity switches and how they work has not changed. They are DC proximity switches that use current sinking to ground an input. When this input is grounded the machine processor knows the position and direction of rotation of the basket. Over the years the manufacturer of the switches and therefore the wire colors and connections have changed. For wiring see below.
