Monitor Color Chg
Monitor changes color for no apparent reason.
If the screen on the monitor turns to one color (rather than multiple colors) then most likely the problem is that the connectors at the back of the PC is not completely plugged in. What happens is that all of the pins do no make contact, therefore the monitor cannot generate certain colors.

There are four steps you should take in a situation like this:
1. Check the cables going from the PC to the monitor - make sure that none of the pins are not bent and that the plugs are in all of the way.
2. Try rebooting the system.
3. Swap out the monitor with a known to be good monitor. If the good monitor works, put the old monitor back on and if it still has the same color, replaced the monitor.
4. If the new monitor did not work, change out the video card in the PC.
