Vent Hood
Problems can arise when high moisture levels leave the last module of the CBW and enter the press. These problems can included and are not limited to corrosion of metal surfaces, and electrical problems due to corrosion on electrical contacts.
It is important that the CBW be properly vented, which means a powered vent fan on the CBW. For more information regarding Milnor's recommendations please see the CBW Installation manual. A copy of that section is attached here.
Recently Milnor has also started adding a ventilation hood. This hood attaches to the press frame and sits over the joint between the press and the CBW. There is a place for a hose to be attached to the vent hood and this hose connected to the powered ventilator of the CBW.
The part number for the ventilation hood is:
W7 10686 LDCHUTE VENT HOOD WLMT-16"RAM This would be used on the MP16xx press.
W7 10691 LDCHUTE VENT HOOD WLMT-14"RAM This would be used on the MP15xx press.
W7 10692 LDCHUTE VENT HOOD WLMT-17"RAM This would be used on the MP1Axx press.
