A. CHANGING DISPLAY WITH DSPL KEY
1. Press DSPL key. The display changes to present output frequency value.
2. Press DSPL key. The display changes to present output current value.
3. Press DSPL key. The display changes to last fault code. If no fault has occurred, the cycle skips to the next display.
4. Press DSPL key. The display changes to first monitor displays number.
5. Press DSPL key. The display changed to first frequency reference memory settings constant number.
6. Press DSPL key. The display changes to first run operative settings constant number.
7. Press DSPL key. The display cycle begins again with frequency reference display.

*Use "up" key to step through the list of constants, and DATA key to display AN- or bn- set value, or information called for by Un- constant.

B. DRIVE OPERATION FROM DIGITAL OPERATOR
1. Use "right", "up" and "down" arrow keys as necessary until the display shows the desired run frequency.
2. Press DATA/ENTER key to write new value into memory. The display will stop blinking for approximately 2 seconds, then resume blinking.
3. Press FWD/REV key to select desired direction of motor rotation. Observe FWD and REV indicator lamps on the Digital Operator to see which directions motor will rotate when GPD 503 is started.
4. Press DSPL key. Present output frequency is displayed.
5. Press and hold the JOG key. Check motor operation at programmed jog frequency operating speed.
6. Release JOG key and press the RUN key. GPD 503 output increases to frequency reference level, at programmed Accel rate. Motor speed increases accordingly.
7. Press STOP key. The motor speed decreases under GPD 503 control, at preset deceleration rate, to zero. The motor remains stopped.

C. DRIVE OPERATION (2-WIRE CONTROL) BY EXTERNAL INPUT SIGNALS
1. Press PRGM/DRIVE to select program mode. The drive lamp turns off and the first frequency reference memory settings constant number is displayed.
2. Press DSPL key twice. The first system constants number is displayed.
3. Use the "up" and "down" arrow keys as necessary until the display shows SN-04. The value of Sn-xx digits scrolls up or down by 1 each time one of these keys is pressed.
4. Press DATA/ENTER key to display the current setting. The value currently stored in the memory for the constant is displayed.
5. Press the "right", "up" and "down" arrow keys as necessary until the display shows 0000.
6. Press DATA/ENTER key to write new setting of Sn-04 into memory. The display lights steady for a short time, the "End" is displayed for approximately 1 second. Then the setting is displayed again, with one digit blinking.
7. Press PGRM/DRIVE key to return to drive mode. The drive lamp lights and the display shows the frequency reference value as set by input at terminal 13,14, or 16, ref. terminal 17.
8. Set Auto/Manual switch, if used, to select desired external reference signal. The display shows frequency reference commanded by the present level of the input signal.
9. Adjust the external speed reference to the desired level. Observe the display as speed reference is adjusted. Stop when the display shows the desired output frequency.
10. Press DSPL key to show the present output frequency.
11. Close contact at terminal 7 and 11 to jog the motor. Check the motor operation at programmed jog frequency operating speed.
12. Close contact at terminals 1 and 11 to perform forward run. GPD 503 output increases to frequency reference level at programmed accel rate. The motor speed increases accordingly.
13. Open contact at Terminals 1 and 11 to stop drive. The motor speed decreases under GPD 503 control, at preset decel rate, to zero
